Year 5 Trip To Easton Primary School
The Year 5 children visited Easton Primary School to spend time with their pen pals. We travelled to Bristol by coach and, on arrival, we were treated to some delicious food made by some of the parents of children in the Year 5 class at Easton. We enjoyed eating pakora and chapati- they were delicious! After our welcome, we visited the mosque where we learned about Islam and some of the children showed us what they learn when they attend mosque school. We had a picnic lunch in the park and also got to play on the equipment with our friends. Our final stop was a visit to Easton Family Centre where we met Vicar David who told us about the work the centre does in the community. One of the Easton children summed up the benefit of our visit when she said: "Our skin is a rainbow of colours but inside we are all the same and we have all enjoyed making friends with each other." Thank you to all the staff and children at Easton Primary for making us so welcome. We hope to visit you again soon!
Year 6 Cricket Competition
Mrs Shepard and Mrs White White accompanied a group of Year 6 boys to a cricket competition at Wells Cricket Club. The boys played several matches and worked really hard to finish in third place. Well done to everyone involved- you were great ambassadors for the school.
Easter Egg Competition
Children in Key Stage 2 took part in a competition to use an egg to design a model or scene with an Easter or spring theme. Mrs Eyles judged the entries and she was very impressed with the effort and creativity that the children demonstrated when making their eggs. Well done to Kayleigh, Leah and Suzy for their winning entries!
