The staff in Owl Class would like to welcome you to this page.
We hope you enjoy following all the friendships we make and the fun and learning we will experience over the year.
Reminders: PE will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays
We are learning all about money. We have set up a toy shop in our classroom and have been busy buying and selling, Alan Sugar would be proud of us! We have been identifying coins and making different amounts.
Happy New Year!
We can't believe that we are actually in 2018, where has the time gone? We are looking forward to all the fun, learning and friendship that we will share this year.
We enjoyed a Christmas party with our buddies. We played games such as musical statues and musical animals. All of the games allowed us to have lots of fun and build further on our friendships.
Well done to the owls for putting on such a super performance of the Wriggly Nativity. We are so proud of every single one of them and to think they are only four and five years old. Mrs Scott managed to take a few photographs of us during our dress rehearsal.
We were very pleased to be asked to take part in the school maths competition. We provided the entertainment during half time. We made it maths based of course. We sang three maths seemed songs and received a huge round of applause from all our friends and teachers in the school.
People who help us in our community
Clarissa is the vicar in the local churches Holy Trinity, in Coleford and St Andrew's, in Holecombe. She came to visit us to tell us all about her job. We learnt about how her favourite things to do are weddings and christenings. We also learnt about other things she does such as church services; going to lots of meetings and answering lots of emails. We then asked her some very sensible questions.
We have been on our first ever class visit. We were so excited from the start! For some of us, it was our first time travelling on a coach. We boarded the coach, fastened our belts and we were off! We were so impressed with how much more we could see out of the windows. We arrived safely at Victoria Park in Bath and after a quick snack we walked to the botanical gardens. The beauty of the trees, with their colours and their shapes, amazed us. We then had s picnic in the sun and spent the afternoon playing in the park. It was such a fun filled day!
It was the week that people celebrate Diwali all around the world. We have learnt about traditional Indian dancing, the story of Rama and Sita, Rangoli patterns and lots more...
Buddy Visit to a Local Park
We were so excited to go on a mini visit to a local park in Coleford. We explored friendship with our buddies, fun in the park and learning how to be safe.
Learning About Owls
As you all know we are in Owl Class, so it only seemed sensible that we learnt about owls. We have learnt about how they are nocturnal and how they move. We have enjoyed many great stories featuring owls.
