Collective Worship Team

At Bishop Henderson, our strong Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do. It shapes our values, guides our decisions, and inspires the way we treat one another each day.

We uphold a Christian ethos because it provides a foundation built on love, respect, and integrity — values that help our pupils grow not only academically, but also emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Our core values of courage, compassion, and creativity are rooted in this ethos, helping children to be brave in their learning and relationships, kind and empathetic towards others, and confident in expressing themselves in new and imaginative ways.

This ethos is important because it fosters a sense of purpose, belonging, and moral responsibility in our school community. It helps children develop the strength to do what is right, the heart to care for others, and the confidence to think differently — preparing them to make a positive difference in the world, both now and in the future.

The aims of our Collective Worship Team is.....

  • To play an active role in planning, leading and evaluating Collective Worship.

  • To support the development of Bishop Henderson Primary as a Church School.

We have welcomed 8 new members to our Collective Worship Team for the Autumn Term. The children were chosen by their teachers and will come together to discuss worship around the school. The team will support our daily Collective Worship through organising the hall and music, lighting the candles and choosing and reading the prayer.
