Coronavirus

Measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of a possible coronavirus outbreak at school.

· All visitors must use hand gel on entering the building.

· All visitors will be asked if they have recently travelled back from a high risk zone, been in contact with someone who has Coronavirus or has recently developed any symptoms.  If they answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, they will be advised to call 111 and asked to leave the premises.

· All door handles and high touch areas will be cleaned with a recommended disinfecting product before the start of the school day, at break times, lunch times and at the end of the school day.

· Children & staff will be asked to wash their hands on a regular basis,    especially before eating, after coughing or sneezing and after using the toilet

If your child has developed any new symptoms including a cough, a high temperature or a sore throat the advice is that they should be kept home and self isolate for a period of 7 days.   Thank you for your cooperation.  This is in the interest everyone's health and wellbeing.

We’re also asking everyone to think of those who are vulnerable, and to adhere to current UK Government advice regarding travel restrictions and self-isolation for individuals that have visited specific areas.

For further information, do visit www.gov.uk for information on the Coronavirus, including the current situation in the UK and information about the virus and its symptoms. This is updated at 2pm  every day.

If you’re concerned about your health in relation to coronavirus should follow official PHE guidance and contact NHS 111 if the guidance advises them to do so.

I have attached a copy of the school’s Risk Assessment as well as Public Health England advice.

We will keep parents informed of any updates.  Please check Facebook and the school website.
