Clerk to Governors required

 

Two schools in the Wells Community Learning Partnership are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors – Applicants are welcome to apply for the position at both schools or just one. 

Below is the information for the Clerk of Governor’s role at this school.

 

5 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Salary Grade 13 - £17,547-£19,939 (pro rata) Hourly rate: £9.0951-£10.3349

 

The Governing Body, are seeking to appoint a Clerk to work with the Chair and other Governors, dealing with administrative matters for the Governing Body.

 

Central to this role is preparing for, taking notes at meetings and producing minutes. Integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential. This position is for January 2021 and new clerks will receive full support and training.

 

The post will involve approximately 10-12 hours work for Full Governing Body meetings and there will be six full Governing Body meetings per year, plus Sub Committee meetings. A 5 hours per week contract reflects potential requirements of the role.   The Clerk may be asked to take on additional paid work for meetings and administration during busy periods according to need.  Meetings will usually be held out of school hours and will last approximately 2 hours.  Currently all meetings are being conducted via Teams or Zoom.

School 2 – Kilmersdon CEVA Primary School

Kilmersdon School is a church school near Midsomer Norton, Bath and Frome.  We provide education for 180 children from four to eleven years of age.  We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clerk to the Governors.  This is a key role supporting our Governing Body in the strategic management and development of our school.  Governors meetings are held in the evenings approximately once a month.
