We have been reading the story Owl Babies by Martin Waddell. We have been encouraging the children to talk about how the babies owl felt when their mummy owl went out to look for food. The children have been talking about times when they have felt sad, happy, worried and scared. The children have been very good at remembering the characters from the story and recalling and retelling the events. They have enjoyed playing with the small world role play with Owls!
This week the children are learning to recognise and name 2d shapes. We have been talking about the properties of the shapes e.g. a square has 4 corners. The children are practising their scissor skills by cutting out some 2d shapes.
