Holy Trinity Church

The school enjoys close links with Holy Trinity Church.  When the current building was opened in 1970 it was named after Bishop Henderson who was the Bishop of Bath & Wells through the 1960's. The School Governors are keen that this Christian foundation should be reflected in the caring ethos of the school and in the spiritual development of the pupils.

The children visit the church for service several times during the year and we are incredibly fortunate to have Nigel Beardsley as our chaplain. His services are engaging, uplifting, and thoughtfully aligned with our core values of courage, compassion, and creativity. He presents important messages in a way that is both meaningful and often humorous, which resonates deeply with the children.

The students genuinely enjoy attending church, which speaks volumes about the strength of our relationship with the church community. This connection offers them so much more than just a  service — it gives them a safe and inspiring space to reflect, grow spiritually, and feel a sense of belonging.

Through these regular experiences, they’re learning empathy, resilience, and kindness — all essential qualities that help shape not only their moral character but also their ability to navigate the world with confidence and care.
