With the support of Somerset Council, Bishop Henderson Primary School is planning to open a Specialist Provision to support children in receipt of an Educational Health Care Plan and who require additional learning support.

Notice is given in accordance with section 19 (1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the statutory guidance for proposers and decision-makers in ‘Making significant changes (‘prescribed alterations’) to maintained schools issued in March 2025 that

Somerset Council intends to make prescribed alterations to Bishop Henderson Church of England Primary School at Farley Dell, Coleford, Radstock, Somerset, BA3 5PN

The Council proposes the creation of an onsite unit to cater for children with special educational needs.

The statutory representation period is from Monday 23 February to Thursday 02 April 2026.
